AZUL
The idea of unity responds to a fragmented condition and the desire for recomposition that define the human being. Maybe this idea of wholeness is just an illusion, an ideal that is difficult to let go of. We easily connect with our shadows, our fears, and it only takes a small imbalance for the world we know to become a strange landscape that is difficult to navigate. Krikalev's story is a metaphor for remoteness from oneself. The astronaut's field of experience is the weightlessness of outer space, for the rest of us it is the solid ground on Earth. However, there is not so much difference between Krikalev's ship and the imaginary walls in which we suspend ourselves when we feel lost or alienated from the world. ‘Azul como una naranja’ is stone, delirium and remoteness, but also dream and connection: to dynamite that which blocks us is sometimes necessary to find our own idea of restitution.
