BRIDA
Brida draws on the Ball de Cavallets (Dance of the Little Horses) to explore the relationship between dressage and codified choreography as metaphors for control over bodies. Dance and horse training share a common territory: the body as a space of discipline, resistance, and expressive potential. Brida examines one of the most deeply rooted human impulses, the mastery of the body, whether one’s own or another’s, and how this power is exercised in the pursuit of an ideal of beauty, virtuosity, and aesthetic perfection.
